Email Length Checker
Paste your email draft to check if it's the right length for maximum response rates. Based on research from Boomerang's study of 40 million emails.
The ideal email length
Boomerang analyzed 40 million emails and found that messages between 50–125 words received the highest response rates (around 51%). Emails under 25 words seem curt, while those over 200 words often get skimmed or ignored entirely.
Tips for shorter, better emails
Lead with your ask - don't bury it at the bottom. Stick to one topic per email. Use bullet points when listing three or more items. Write the subject line last so it accurately reflects the content. Remove filler phrases like "I hope this email finds you well."
Dictate emails instead of typing
Speaking naturally produces more conversational, concise emails than typing. With voice dictation, you can draft an email in seconds instead of minutes. LexaWrite lets you hold Fn, speak your email, and release - the text appears wherever your cursor is. No internet required.
